What is the United Church Gazette?

The United Church Gazette is the blog for the United Church of Chapel Hill. Think of the Gazette as an online newspaper, where articles of interest to the United Church community are posted, from time to time. A note about jargon: articles are called “posts” in a blog.

What kind of articles might appear in the United Church Gazette?

Just about anything of interest to the United Church community. For example:

  • A story about a mission trip
  • An announcement about an upcoming program
  • A transformation story
  • Periodic updates about longer-running programs, such as stewardship or economic justice
  • A story about whatever you are excited about and would like to share with others

How can I know when a new article is posted?

If you visit the United Church website, you can check the Gazette page to see if any new articles have been added. Articles will appear in reverse chronological order, newest first.

Alternatively, you can use a program called a “newsreader”. With a newsreader, you can “subscribe” to the Gazette (and any other blogs, too) and be notified when a new article appears. There are several, good newsreader websites. Google Reader is one (you will need a Google ID).
