Small Groups at United Church
Besides the major fellowship events, a number of small groups regularly meet at United Church for fellowship, spiritual growth, and education. Schedules for meetings may vary from time to time. If you are new the church and are interested in one of these groups, please contact the church office at office@unitedchurch.org for group leadership contact information.

Retired Men
(2nd Wednesdays of the month, 10 am - Library)
This informal group of retired and semi-retired men meets monthly for lively discussion on topics related to religion, spiritual issues and current events. The Retired Men's group also organizes the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper every year.
Monday Evening Women’s Group
(Mondays at 7:30 pm - Family Parlor)
This is a group for women interested in furthering their spiritual development through the discussion of books or movies and other group activities. In addition to our discussions, the group enjoys a variety of outings through the year.
Crafts Group
(2nd Friday of the month, 7 pm - Art Room)
We explore various crafts from soap making, clay, painting, jewelry making and more, sometimes led by guest artists. We also take field trips to local artists’ shops to learn crafts. We also have a booth with our homemade crafts for sale at the Alternative Christmas Market in November.
Yoga
(Fridays, 9:15 am - Assembly Hall)
The yoga class is designed with the less-experienced individual in mind. The charge of $5 per class is used for equipment when needed and is otherwise contributed back to church projects.
United Greens "Earth Ministry" Group
(2nd Monday of the month, 7 pm - Church Library)
This group will be a home for concerned church members and friends seeking information, dialogue and support for taking action on Care of Creation. As the church continues its classes and activities in scripture study, energy-saving, and political advocacy, this group will meet regularly to assess planned activities and world developments, let scripture speak, alert us all, and initiate new approaches. We will also use a simple internet group to keep in touch easily.
