Young Adults at United Church
The purpose of the United Church Young Adults Group, comprised of adults in their 20's and 30's, is to encourage young adults to connect their faith to their everyday lives, and to spend time with people who share their values. United Church is a place where people of all ages can join together in community through worshiping, connecting, learning, serving and giving. If you are a young adult we invite you to join us as we travel this journey of faith together one day at a time.
*NEW* Young Adult Class: Spirituality & Meditation with Zoe Ulshen
4 Week Series: Beginning Sunday, September 19th,
Sunday Mornings @ 10:00am - Room 235Meeting in Silence: Developing a
Practice of Prayer and Meditation
Prayer and meditation are powerful spiritual disciplines that ask us to find some quiet time in our busy lives to get to know God and ourselves better. In our time together, we'll learn about the principles of mindfulness meditation and centering prayer; we'll also have a chance to sit in silence each time we meet. You are encouraged to come and share your experience with these and other silent spiritual practices as we discuss the rewards and obstacles encountered in trying to establish and maintain a home practice of daily prayer and meditation. We'll also explore how prayer and meditation can help us negotiate all kinds of life experiences and deepen our faith. For more information, please contact: Zoe Ulshen, zoe.ulshen@gmail.com or 489-0587.
