Young Adults
United Church of Chapel Hill's Young Adults Group is open to anyone! The group includes mostly singles and couples heterosexual and same sex n their twenties and thirties, but there’s no age restriction. Our interests include fellowship, faith exploration and service.

The Young Adults also gather for other events during the year, such as potlucks, picnics, and pumpkin carving! We also participate in church-wide retreats and try to have a retreat of our own during the year. In the summer, we like to go to outdoor movies and to Durham Bulls games. Many Young Adults also play on the Church Softball Team.
Service Opportunities
The young adults participate is a variety of service oppoutunities and are always looking for new ideas for service. Some of the past events have included: sponsoring families at Christmas and serving food on the second Thursday of the month at the Inter-Faith Council on a bimonthly basis.
Coffee House
The Young Adults sponsor and coordinate a Coffee House Music Night which occurs twice a year (in the spring and fall) in the fellowship hall. This is a fun evening of jazz/blues/world/folk music which is open to the community as well as church members. There is no admission charge – just free will donations. Delicious coffee, tea, and baked goods are served. Come spend an evening hanging out and listening to some great local music. Spring Beach Retreat
In the spring, we have our own Young Adult Beach Retreat, which is a very popular event for us – at a low cost and high fun! This is a time of rich bonding, fellowship, and recreation. Watch for advertising of this retreat after the new year. You’ll want to join us. Families with children are welcome.
